Avnet Technology Solutions becomes an SAP distributor

Avnet Technology Solutions, a solution distribution and an operating group of Avnet, announced that it has become an SAP distributor of analytics, enterprise mobility, and database and technology solutions from SAP AG. Avnet will also offer the innovative in-memory SAP HANA platform to its channel partners in multiple countries in Asia Pacific. Countries included in the agreement are India, China, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.

As an SAP distributor, Avnet Technology Solutions can provide the entire portfolio of best-in-class SAP database and technology solutions to customers through its strong network of resellers and system integration channel partners. This gives more resellers and system integrators access to the broad range of database and technology solutions from SAP.

The new distribution agreement with SAP also gives Avnet's resellers access to SAP Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise (SAP Sybase ASE), SAP Sybase IQ database software, the SAP Sybase Event Stream Processor (SAP Sybase ESP) engine, SAP Data Services software, SAP Sybase SQL Anywhere solutions, SAP Sybase Replication Server software and SAP Sybase PowerDesigner software. The agreement also covers analytics solutions from SAP, including SAP Business Objects solutions, SAP Lumira software, SAP Crystal solutions, and the SAP Afaria mobile device management solution.

With this distribution agreement, Avnet is well poised to present its channel partners with best-in-class technologies and solutions from SAP that deliver ROI and demonstrable business impact for customers. Avnet will support its channel partners with value-added services to help drive marketing, sales and implementation of SAP technology solutions.
