Macaws Infotech is predominantly into Infrastructure Security for over two decades. Previously on Cloud Journey: CDP (India) Pvt. Ltd.
What sort of changes have you done to move to the cloud within the organization in terms of Team, skill set, infrastructure, and others?
Our in-house resources are broadly divided into 3 groups: first on-premises, then exclusively for cloud and shared resources. We employ Google Certified Cloud Architects, Google Certified Data Engineers, Google Certified Security professionals, Google Certified Cloud Engineers, and AWS Certified Solution Architect to provide service of the highest standard.
How your old and new customers adopting the new technology and moving to the cloud?
The pandemic has resulted in huge transformations in the information sector of which the foremost would be cybersecurity through Cloud migration. With most work being done from the unsecured home environment it has become now essential and the number one priority to secure the data and communication both internal and external. So, you could say that the “work from home” evolving culture has opened up more opportunities for Cloud and Security businesses. Our esteemed customers are realizing the gravity of the situation and are readily adapting to the newer technologies in the interest of sustaining their own business in the long run.
What are the different challenges you faced in this journey?
It has not been much of a new challenge for us as customers were already gradually migrating from on-premises to the cloud during the last 5 years or so and perhaps the time has now come for it to be embraced more rapidly. Cloud is reliable, highly available, fault-tolerant, scalable, cost-effective, so according to me, we will see more cloud migration in the coming months.
What is your overall growth being a cloud partner?
We have collaborated with Shivami Cloud Services to strengthen our cloud business offerings. We are looking at 30% minimum growth in our overall business taking COVID -19 pandemic into consideration.
What are your future goals?
Our goal for the future to concentrate more on Cloud Security, CyberSecurity, and Managed Services as per the demand of the market along with RPA, ML/AI, and IoT. However, one needs to take calculated risks in these unprecedented and uncertain COVID -19 pandemic scenarios to sustain the business.
