BenQ India to promote gaming category for increased revenues

BenQ India, provider of digital devices, is expecting an overall revenue growth of 40% this year. The company currently derives about 85% of its total revenue from its consumer-specified models, 10% from gaming and 5% from the remaining category. “We are focusing on developing the eco-system for gaming in India. Gaming is not a developed model here even though it is growing at a rapid rate,” said Rajeev Singh, managing director, BenQ India.

Gaming is not a developed model here even though it is growing at a rapid rate,” said Rajeev Singh, managing director, BenQ India.

BenQ currently derives 70% of its business from the consumer range while 30% comes from its business range. BenQ is looking to take the share of the business range to 50%, from its current 30%. The company is in the process of developing channels for these verticals. It will also be launching a photography monitor for professional photographers next month.

The technology-based products marketer recently expanded its gaming monitors with the launch of two monitors. The bundled offer will be available for the first 100 units of both the monitors which will be available on the gaming retailers and e-commerce portals, including Flipkart, Amazon and Snapdeal.
