BenQ Joybees enter Indian MP3 player market

BenQ has announced the launch of Joybees - the company's rendition of digital music players in the Indian market. It will
launch four models of its MP3 player including Joybee 110, 120, 150 and 180. The Joybees will be
launched in a phased manner till Q2 2004 and priced between Rs 8,600 to Rs 18,000.

BenQ Joybees will be made available in key retail outlets across major metros. The Joybees will also be distributed through
the IT retail channel for which the vendor has tied up with Aditya. The model currently launched
BenQ Joybee 110, has curved, flowing lines of the bee-like form factor and supports MP3, WAV, TVF audio formats. It features a USB flash drive,
language learning (A-B function), provides seven preset equalizer modes and up to 3,000 minutes (at 128MB capacity) audio
storage capabilities. 

Key features of Joybee 110 include adjustable playback speed, integrated recording microphone, up to 3,000 minutes of
audio recording, adjustable recording audio quality and speech equalizer settings, ideal for learning,
with segment repeat (A/B) and options for playback speed, rechargeable lithium-ion battery, provides up to 10 hours playback. This model is priced
at Rs 8,600.

The Joybee 110 comes with BenQ's Q-Music software for easy music editing. In addition, the product features upgradeable firmware to make sure users will
always be up-to-date.
