BPL to launch IT products

BPL Electronic Research Limited, a division of BPL has announced its plans to

launch an entire range of IT products which would be marketed by the company's

multimedia division. According to the company, the new product range including

BPL Instanet and Cyberline will be launched sometime in November.

Mohit Mathur, Sr Manager-Sales & Marketing, says, "The Instanet and

Cyberline products are backed up by service support from BPL centers and on-line

help from the com-pany's call centers present in all major cities."

According to him, the products will be initially displayed in BPL Galleries,

which however would be pushed through the traditional channel network in due

course. The BPL Instanet range comprises of 56 K external/internal modem and

10/100 LAN cards.

Manufactured at BPL's facility in India, the external and the internal modems

come with an inbuilt answering machine.

Equipped with an adaptor, these work at a power supply range of 170 to 270

volts.

BPL's Cyberline range of audio and video products includes the 14/15/17 inch

PC color monitors and multimedia speakers. "The the three models of

multimedia speakers is still in the evaluation stage and will be released

shortly," says Mohit.

According to him, the company has been supplying the complete range of color

monitors to several MNCs and Indian brands across the country. BPL now plans to

supply the monitors into the retail channel as well.
