Brocade Communications Systems organized Brocade Conference 2007 on March 6
in New Delhi. The event was marked by the presence of 300 personnel including
Brocade customers and partners like HP, Hitachi, Netapp and EMC. The conference
was focused on familiarizing Brocade's end users and partners with
technologies like storage area network (SAN) and file area network (FAN).
The event opened up a platform for Brocade's OEM partners to discuss
initiatives that could be taken to meet the storage requirements of customers
and make their working style more efficient and time saving. “The conference
led to various discussions on the scenario of future data center. Vendors also
raised points like what initiatives should be taken by them to make end
customers satisfied with their products and how could they be benefited”, said
Shyam Gopal, Country Manager, Brocade.
Commenting on the active participation of partners and customers in the
event, Gopal said that these conferences act as a guideline for customers to
choose the right technology and to understand the latest happenings in IT
market.
Elaborating on the importance of this conference, Gopal said that since the
financial year has just started, partners and customers are exhausted with their
budget plans. So this was the right time to understand their issues and help
them design their IT business in the existing infrastructure. Brocade also
showed its interest in participating in the events organized by its OEM
partners.
