BroVis hunting for network and systems integrators

BroVis Wireless Networks, a Chennai-based broadband wireless access technology and products company, is planning to expand its existing channel partner base both in India and globally by the end of this year. BroVis' President and CEO, Muthu Logan said that the company had seven partners in India and two global partners in Malaysia and Bangladesh. “We would be adding around six more partners (three in India and three globally) by December 2005," he added.

In India, BroVis' focus is on increasing its presence in the domestic market and with three more partners, it hopes to make better headway into the SMB segment. “We are looking at network integrators, who specialize in wireless integration or the system integrators, who wish to move into the wireless space, as our partners," Muthu stated.

Globally, BroVis in the process of identifying both technology partners and channel partners and would focus on increasing its market reach through channels in Middle East, Malaysia and Thailand, Muthu observed and added that BroVis also has plans to foray into the South Africa, Europe and Japanese market soon. He also informed that the company would also be doubling its employee base to 50 from the current 25. 

BroVis Wireless Networks, which was started 2003, has been a concentrating on providing outdoor wireless network solutions through its flagship product Air Client 100 Subscriber Unit and Air Station 1000 outdoor broadband wireless access concentrator, a high-performance, IEEE 802.11standards based wireless base-stations.
