Interim Budget 2019 has presented by Piyush Goyal, Finance Minister in the parliament today. There are many new policies which possibly will bring smiles over farmers and weak backward class. Here some Budget 2019 highlights. But if we talk about technology, there is yet to see how technology honchos will react on this interim budget as there is something for MSME sector to smile. Here some Budget 2019 highlights.

  • GST registered MSMR units to get 2% interest subvention on 1cr. loan
  • Businesses with less than Rs. 5 crore annual turnovers, comprising over 90% of GST payers, will be allowed to return quarterly returns.
  • 6000 per year to be transferred directly to account of small farmers.
  • Mega Pension Yojana to provide assured monthly pension of Rs 3000 for unorganized sector workers.
  • Individual taxpayers with annual income up to 5 lakh rupees to get full tax rebate.
  • Higher ever defense budget to Rs 3lakh crore.
  • TDS threshold on interest on Bank, post office deposit raised to 40,000.
  • 2% interest subvention to farmers for animal husbandry.
  • Benefit of Rs. 18500 crore to 3 crore Middle class taxpayers.
  • The government to now give 8 crore LPG connections to rural households under the Pradhan mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
  • 21 AIIMSs are operating or being established, 14 of these have been announced since 2014, 22nd AIIMS will be made in Haryana.
