Computer Associates International (CA) has donated $200,000 to UNICEF in support of the organization´s massive relief effort to help people affected by the tsunami in Sri Lanka, Indonesia, India, Thailand and the Maldives. Additionally, the company will provide its standard two-for-one match to all employees giving to international aid organizations through the organization's Matching Gifts Program.
UNICEF is rushing relief assistance to the countries hardest hit by massive ocean flooding following Sunday´s earthquake. It is working to meet the urgent needs of the people who survived the tsunami but now need shelter, water, medical supplies and assistance.
"Thousands of lives have been affected and would like to do our bit by providing assistance to the victims", said Pravir Arora, Director Marketing, India and SAARC, Computer Associates. "We appreciate the quick response of CA, which will allow UNICEF to provide immediate relief supplies," said Jeff Towers, VP at the US Fund for UNICEF.
