Canon India wins CII-EXIM award

NOVEMBER 23, 2006

Canon India has been awarded the commendation certificate for 'Strong
Commitment to Excel' at the CII-EXIM Bank Award 2006.

Alan Grant, President and CEO, Canon India, received this award in Bangalore
at the annual CII-EXIM Bank Award ceremony, a Canon statement said today.

The award was established to promote awareness of Business Excellence as an
increasingly important element in competitiveness. Not only does it recognize
excellent business, it also increases the understanding of the elements critical
for business excellence. There are four levels of recognition starting from the
commendation certificate and going up to the award. Commendation certificates
are given to organizations, which have made good progress on their journey of
Total Quality Management.
