It is well known that the OPC drum is used inside the toner cartridges. Its full form is Organic Photoconductor Drum. It receives the image to print from a laser inside the printer and then transfers the image of the text and the photo to paper. It has many layers which help in its interaction with the other parts in a cartridge.

In a standard OPC drum manufacturing company, each OPC drum is tested for its charge ability, which is also called as sensitivity. This give out the estimate of how much toner will be attracted to the drum. The less sensitive the drum is, the less toner it will attract, resulting in lighter prints.

Every OPC drum is tested many times to ensure the print performance is at the optimum. Once approved, it is placed in the high performance static control cartridges and tested again to make sure it meets our high quality standards.

In a fake OPC drum these standards are not maintain which leads to bad quality functioning of printer and also the fast deterioration of the printing machine.
