CURRENT INFRASTRUCTURE

TVSE has two factories in Hosur and Mysore with 28 regional offices, 450 dealers
and 200 suppliers. This network is centralized with a SAP setup. Its
infrastructure is geared for 1,200 PC users with over 20 servers, across all its
offices. Connectivity is maintained via VSAT, leased line, ISDN and radio WAN
links at different locations. It also has a Gigabit LAN network

VALUE OF EXISTING INFRASTRUCTURE

The investment in IT, including software, over the last three to four years
would be over Rs 50 crore

PROPOSED INFRASTRUCTURE FOR 2005-06

The priority for the forthcoming fiscal is implementation of CRM and PLM

TVSE is willing to invest approximately Rs 15 crore in revisions to its existing
IT infrastructure

CURRENT SYSTEMS SUPPLIER

The two primary vendors that the company relies on are HP and HCL Comnet

QUALIFICATIONS OF SUPPLIER

TVSE has a policy of working with a single supplier and building this
relationship over time. For its current products, it has no plans to look for a
new supplier. But if the new requirements can't be handled by its existing
supplier, then it is open to other partners, who offer good prices, prompt
delivery and service.
