local channel
The Computer Media Dealers Association (CMDA) four-day
exhibition-cum-exposition concluded with a bang on Dec 24, 2006. The event was
held at the Saakhar Sankul Ground at Shivaji Nagar, a suburb in Pune and
organizers claimed that it was a win-win situation for exhibitors, consumers and
the association too. Prataprao Pawar, MD, Sakal Papers inaugurated the IT expo
while Rajinder Singh, Additional Commissioner of Police was the guest of honor.
One of the attractions at the expo was a cyber crime stall of Pune Police.
The stall was set-up to sensitize the public about cyber crimes and also make
them aware of how they can safeguard themselves. This gave visitors a chance to
clear their doubts about cyber crimes.
