wireless access points (WAP) provides multiple levels of inter-client security
and enables specific wireless clients to be fully integrated into a corporate
network.

Integrated in NetPassage series WAP and gateways, Pseudo VLAN can be used is
one of two ways. The first method is called "per-client" and the only
configuration needed is to turn the feature on at the access point (AP). When
this feature is active, AP allows access to all resources on the wired network,
but since it controls all wireless traffic, it prevents wireless users from
seeing each other and accessing each-other’s data.

The second configuration method contains additional levels of security.
Called "Per group" it can configure up to four "work groups"
and up to 10 users in each workgroup. The NetPassage allows each Pseudo VLAN
group to have a number of MAC addresses assigned. From then on, whenever a
wireless client requests access, the WAP first verifies that its MAC address is
included in any of the Pseudo VLAN groups. If it is a valid MAC, then the AP
grants access to all of the wired system resources, and also (only) to the other
wireless clients belonging to the same Pseudo VLAN group.
