Compuage Infocom, a distributor of Creative products, is planning a series of
educational road-shows for the brand in the country. To begin with, the events
will be held at Bangalore and Delhi in the last week of July. Subsequently,
events will be held in Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkatta. In the OND quarter, the
events will be conducted in other B-class cities.
The objective of these roadshows is to make consumers aware of the correct
way to use Creative products to get maximum benefits out of them. Says Biju
Bruno, Director-Marketing, Compuage Infocom, "We have seen that people
often buy premium products, but do not know the right way to use them. They then
blame the products for not being technically good."
Compuage has also noticed that there is an existing set of customers who want
premium products. But when they go to a dealer and ask for the product, the
dealer is ignorant about it and gives either the wrong information or incorrect
price to the customer, who then drops the idea of buying it. Compuage hopes that
with the education imparted at these roadshows, dealers will be able to service
Creative customers better.
Creative’s other two distributors, Tech Pacific and Cyberstar will also
participate in these roadshows.
