Computer Association of Eastern India, popularly known as COMPASS, is an association of IT entrepreneurs of Eastern India that has been fostering the sustainable growth of the IT industry since 1996. Being headquartered at Kolkata, it has 450+ members across Eastern India.
It actively works and lobbies with both State and Central Government on policy and other relevant issues in the interest of the industry. Through its various initiatives, it has been facilitating in cohesive coordination among stakeholders, improving market reach, competitiveness and expanding business opportunities.
It is actively involved in organising trade shows, seminars, conference, workshops and industry relevant events. In addition, some of the fellowship events including the Annual Cricket Carnival and Diwali Meet are among the most awaited ones. In addition, COMPASS also actively participate in industry specific events of other associations.
Neeraj Agrawal, Owner, Nimbus Computer, is the new President. VK Bhandari of Supertron Electronics is the Mentor. The Advisory Board includes Pawan Jajodia of Mohit Electronics, Pradeep Biyani of Suntronic Systems and Narender Dhanuka of Galaxy Computech.
Neeraj Agrawal, President, COMPASS, has sent the following message on this occasion -
"COMPASS (Computer Association of Eastern India) has brought together the IT fraternity of Eastern India and has been an inspiration for many more associations throughout the nation for the welfare of the industry as a whole and has stepped into 28th Glorious Year, serving IT Industry. I am really thankful to all members of COMPASS for electing me as the President of Computer Association of Eastern India (COMPASS). I assure that we will try to take compass to unprecedented heights with the support of all members, as it goes with the saying, “Teamwork makes the dream work.”
He continues, "I am lucky and blessed to have one of the best Executive Team this year who is vibrant, energetic and always proactive to help.
"We would try to reach out to our members more effectively with statutory, legal and informative information’s through various modes of communication and seminars.
"Unfortunately, due to COVID we couldn’t be able to commix and have a great time with our families but this time we would recoup those 2 years and have a blast this year.
He concludes, "The motto of this year will be CCC – Compass Connects Channel and we will engage & communicate with Principal Companies, T1, T2, T3 constantly for betterment of IT Industry. This year we will also partner with various District and National Associations & bring your best foot forward."
