Comrack economy communications racks launched

Delhi-based OST Electronics has launched economy models of its existing

range of communication racks marketed under the brand name, Comrack.

Being offered in different sizes, the products would be primarily used by

small and medium enterprises for organizing their networking infrastructure,

keeping in view the space management and aesthetics requirement.

"Supplementing our regular range of racks, the economy models will be sold

in sizes of 4U, 6U and 9U and will target mainly the price sensitive users

who plan to install or upgrade their networking equipment," says Ajay Johar,

Director, OST.

"While the economy racks are about 15 percent cheaper than corresponding

regular products, OST expects bulk of its sales in the economy category.

These racks could be used to enclose networking devices such as hubs,

switches, routers, telecom exchanges and so on. The company is selling its

wall mount and floor standing racks in sized up to 42U," he adds.
