Count down Begins for Computex 2014

Innovations are primed to roll at COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2014! The countdown has begun and Computex 2014,is scheduled to be held on June 3-7, 2014 in Taipei. As Asia's #1 1 ICT show and the world's second largest, it's the constant change where every new product and concept drives the future. This year's mix of companies are enriched by first time Taiwan exhibitors like MediaTek who joins major players Acer, ASUS, Delta and Transcend along with AMD, FORD, Intel, Microsoft and Supermicro.

COMPUTEX 2014 expects to host more than 136,000 visitors from 173 countries. Many of those key buyers will lead more than 1,000 one-on-one procurement meetings. These include important buyers from Siemens, Toshiba, Best Buy, Staples, Vestel and Arcelik.

Last year, out of 121,515 total visitors, 68% of the visitors were from Asia; 13% were from North America; 10% from Europe; 3% of them were from middle-east; 2% of the visitors were from Australia and 2% and 1% of them from South America and Africa respectively.

This summer's show is back bigger and better with expanded exhibition areas for the latest ICT innovations and product launches by Acer, Asus, Delta, AMD, Intel, Microsoft and many other international brands.

The 5-day long event will be abuzz with more than 40 product launches, 100 seminar and forums, around 1000 1-on-1 match making meetings and 100's product contests. This year, however, the leap for COMPUTEX TAIPEI d&i awards is big with 289 products on showcase (up 24% from last year), 125 companies (up 14%). This year's Computex weaves 5 themes-Cloud Tech and Services, Smart Tech, Wearable Tech, Mobile Computing and Touch Applications. It will be held in Taipei World Trade Center NANGANG Exhibition Hall , Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall 1&3 and Taipei International Convention Center (TICC).

India is amongst the top 10 countries and around 100 visitors visited from India. This year India is expected to put up the Country Pavilion .

Simon Segars, CEO of ARM, MK Tsai, CEO of MediaTek and Stan Shih, founder and president, Acer will be few of the esteemed speakers sharing insights on convergence of social interaction, mobility, cloud, and the shape of things to come. The CPX Forums open rare moments to connect with top executives from Amazon Web Service, Cisco, Broadcom, IDC, NXP, STMicroelectronics, and Salesforce.

 

The visitors can expect lot of perks and free services with their registration. For the first time international visitors, will get FREE 4-day metro passes embedded into their visitor badges. These badges provide FREE unlimited rides on the Taipei Metro from June 3rd to 6th. In addition, the COMPUTEX TAIPEI has launched a smart phone app which has handy functions such as visitor's pre-registration, news, events calendar, floor plan, show publications, show guide and the best indoor GPS function. The visitors can also enjoy the free Wi-Fi in the entire Taipei city.
