COVID-19 pandemic has begun to transform the entire IT ecosystem and cloud players have adopted various growth strategies, such as partnerships and new service launches to expand their presence further as well as to negate the impact of the pandemic on the cloud market and broaden their customer base.

Recently, Crayon Software India organized a webinar on “Cloud Adoption in the Digital World” jointly hosted with AWS on 14 May 2020. The webinar aimed at giving an overview of AWS strategy and opportunities along with some key initiatives they are looking to execute through their partnership with Crayon Software.

The webinar witnessed a healthy response from Channel Partners and SIs from Pan India, who were looking forward to build on their cloud capabilities using Amazon Web Services.

In his keynote address, Vikas Bhonsle, CEO, Crayon Software, highlighted the different challenges that the COVID-19 outbreak has thrown-up and how businesses are preparing for the months ahead. Apart from that, the measures being adopted by organizations to keep their productivity and morale high, while making the most of the dwindling resources were also mentioned. “During the COVID-19 situation, most businesses have realized the need to have strong technology adoption. I have seen customers looking at the implementation of work from home solutions. If we are smart enough to re-innovate ourselves, we could be the next champion in the technology,” said Vikas Bhonsle.

Rupesh Gandhi, Head VAD India & SAARC, AWS shared insights on the overall AWS business strategy and how partners can align their business and partner strategy in terms of adopting a cloud journey. Rupesh highlighted the current Cloud Macro trends and the different challenges faced by partners during their transformation journey. Rupesh also mentioned about how AWS can help partners to overcome these challenges in terms of different financial models, GTM strategies, partner programs, and skills and services.

In the next session, Deepan Velayutham, Head – Emerging Partners, India- SAARC, AWS shared insights on the AWS APN (Partner Network) overview and how partners, with the help of the network, can build a profitable Cloud business. AWS partner network is a partner program focused on helping partners build a successful AWS based business by providing valuable business, technical and market support. “Partners who are into IT consulting, SIs, Application development, and Managed Service Providers would fall under consulting partners. Partners who are into software, operating systems, databases, and hardware falls under the technology partners”, Deepan said during his session.

Furthermore, partners got a chance to gain insight into the benefits of different partner programs as well as the evolution of the partner life cycle in the AWS scheme.

In the next session, Satish Sharma, AWS Lead India, Crayon Software, shared deep insights on their footprints in India, how Crayon is providing services to the partner ecosystem and how partners are benefited from the different services being offered by Crayon.
