Creative introduces enhanced DiVi CAM 428 mini digital camcorder

Creative Technology introduced the DiVi CAM 428, an all-in-one mini digital camcorder featuring video recorder, digital camera, voice recorder and MP3 player. The 4-megapixel DiVi CAM 428 targets a relatively new market segment — consumers who have always wanted to own a decent video camera but were held back by the relatively high prices. 



Available in two colors — Striking Silver and Intense Black — the main feature of the DiVi CAM 428 is its ability to record MPEG-4 movies in 640 x 480 (VGA) resolutions at 30 frames per second speed. There is even an option to select the recorded format in AVI or ASF.



With a 4.0 Megapixel CCD (Charged Coupled Device) sensor, the DiVi CAM 428 can capture sharp images with vibrant colors, even under dimly-lit environments. Users can even opt to capture images at a whopping 8.0 megapixels using the in-cam interpolation.



Besides taking video and pictures, the DiVi CAM 428 posses other functions such as MP3 playing and voice recording, and even doubles up as a portable storage device. For voice recording, the built-in voice recording function records voice clips in WAV format. Whether it is a business meeting, lecture class or even a workshop seminar, users can be assured of getting high quality recordings with excellent audio clarity.
