Creative unveils Audigy 2 Platinum eX

Creative
Technology Ltd has announced the availibilty of the latest version of its Audigy
range of sound cards. Called Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Platinum eX, this product is
the only THX-certified consumer sound card capable of six-channel DVD-audio
quality and 24-bit/96 kHz recording in 5.1 channels. The new Sound Blaster
includes Audigy 2 External I/O module for home studio quality connectivity
through three analog stereo connections, plus optical and coaxial digital I/O,
full-sized MIDI I/O and two SB1394 (FireWire) ports.

Featuring ASIO 2.0 support for low-latency recording and a host of music
creation software, the Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Platinum eX enables users to use
the PC as a recording studio. The software bundle includes: Sonic Foundry—ACID
Foundry—ACID Style DJ 3.0, Native Instruments—Traktor Traktor DJ Creative
Edition and Image Line—FruityLoops Pro 3.5 Creative Edition.

This product is available at an estimated street price of Rs 19,199.
