announced a solutions roadmap and
go-to-market strategy for its Trusted Cloud Services. Highlights of
the roadmap include, CloudLab, a virtual development and testing
environment, CloudExchange, a mail and collaboration solution, and
CSC Gateway, an e-commerce web store and portal, which simplifies
online purchasing and provides self-managed administration and
reporting for cloud and hosting clients. CSC has also unveiled seven
new cloud-enabled data centers located in the US, UK, Luxembourg and
Australia.
The roadmap details service options for
mail, collaboration, security and virtual development and testing as
software, platform and infrastructure as-a-service. The go-to-market
strategy is focused on ensuring customer success and providing an
easy way for companies to do business with CSC. CSC's Trusted Cloud
solutions deliver a unique customer experience that includes CSC's
trademark security and compliance assurance, customer-centric service
level agreements (SLAs) and the requisite integrity, accountability
and innovation.
The foundation of the go-to-market
strategy is the CSC Business First Approach, which evaluates
enterprise business processes and identifies the ideal workloads that
will generate the greatest ROI from cloud services.
“The Trusted Cloud Services roadmap
and Business First Approach enables CSC to help transform existing
business processes and enable innovation with unprecedented levels of
speed and business impact. Because of CSC's heritage, we are the
only partner that is able to provide a lifecycle of services to
enable any enterprise to achieve the financial benefits of cloud
solutions,” said Siki Giunta, VP-Cloud Computing and Software
Services, CSC.
In addition to CloudLab and
CloudExchange, more solutions are planned for the summer including a
virtual desktop, a security solution for mail and web and other
software and platform as-a-service solutions.
Together, the roadmap and go-to-market
approach reflect how CSC plans to provide essential capabilities for
organizations looking for ways to quickly respond to changing
business requirements, while optimizing resources and increasing
effectiveness.
“Enterprises need the scale,
expertise and understanding of business process transformation to
help their businesses make the most of their cloud strategy,” said
Frank Gens, Senior VP and Chief Analyst, IDC. “CSC has made
investments to offer differentiated cloud services. The announcement
of the Trusted Cloud Services roadmap, new products and Business
First Approach, helps to demonstrate CSC's commitment of playing a
prominent role in the cloud services business, as well as helping
enterprises to understand what should be in their cloud strategy,”
he further added.
