New Delhi:
Post its recent appointment as exclusive distributor of Sunbelt Software's full line of anti-virus, anti-spyware and messaging security solutions in India, Cyber Intelligent Security (CIS) is on the lookout for resellers to consolidate its channel base. The disti is looking at appointing sub-distributors in each region. While for the North region the disti has appointed KK Software, the names of the distis appointed in other regions is yet to be finalized. Meanwhile, CIS, that caters to the consumer, retail and corporate reseller market, is looking at adding a large number of resellers to its growing network.
CIS will be recruiting partners for Sunbelt in the enterprise market, as well as supporting product availability for the consumer market. As per the distribution agreement, CIS will offer the entire gamut of Sunbelt enterprise and consumer product line, including its anti-virus products-Vipre, CounterSyp Enterprise and Vipre Email Security for Exchange and Sunbelt Exchange Archiver.
Speaking about the security software, Mukund Kapur, Sales Director, CIS commented, “Providing the speed of a Ferrari along with the elegance of a Bentley, all at an affordable price, is what we are doing through Vipre in the software security arena.”
Giving an interesting angle to Vipre software, Rahul Kapoor, Technical Advisor, CIS explained, “Like Arnold Schwarzenegger in the Terminator, who says, “I'll be back,” malware tends to mutate so that it is difficult to detect. But with Vipre you can say we have now successfully terminated the Terminator.”
Calling the relationship with CIS an ideal way to reach target markets through both the consumer retail channel as well as a significant corporate value-added reseller community, David Parkin, Director-EMEA Sales, Sunbelt Software said, “Through our partnership with CIS we are able to utilize their local market expertise to ensure Sunbelt's security solutions are widely available to both businesses and individuals around the country.”
"Because of the rapidly growing network market in India, Internet access and usage is an increasing priority and more affordable than ever before. With the surge in use of technology in homes and businesses, the security risks associated with cyber threats have also exploded,” said Rajive Kapoor, MD, CIS. “In our market, economic buying power is lower, and software purchases are greatly dictated by affordability rather than performance. Sunbelt's Vipre anti-virus offers an unparalleled solution for both corporate and home users that delivers better performance than older traditional anti-virus solutions and comprehensive protection against malware threats.”
Having received significant interest from many resellers to take on Sunbelt products, the disti expects to see the products sold by most of the major value-added resellers and many retail outlets throughout India.
CIS launched its India operations in August this year.
