Taiwan based, CyberPower, a power solutions company, which recently entered Indian market with UPS, inverters and accessories, unveiled a full range of products in Delhi. CyberPower showcased its products in power backup, enterprise power solution, 10k to 200kVA modular UPS, mobile power, remote management, power management software and solar power products aimed at verticals like IT, Telecom, BFSI, hospitality and SME segments.
Speaking to The DQ Channels, Arun Ghosh, country head , CyberPower India said" CyberPower is aiming 20% market share from the 55% branded UPS market and 10% from the 45% unbranded segment. With this, we are aiming for 30% market share in the Indian UPS market". Similarly, in the inverter market , we will target 30% market share and 40% market share in accessories and aim to achieve 100 crore turnover this year".
"Over the last two years, due to internal changes in organizations of top players, there has been lack of focus and this has created a gap in the market. We are confident that with a range of power products and custom solutions, we will successfully fill this gap,"he added.
Michael Ho, president, CyberPower Systems, said "We are confident of our entry in India and with our comprehensive product lines and support from local team, we will establish a long term success in India. CyberPower is #2 player in US and we will achieve the same success in India. "
CyberPower has established 4 offices in India at Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore and New Delhi and will open another 10 offices in tier 2 cities by 2014. They will provide service through their own infrastructure for 10k VA UPS range and will outsource service upto 3kVA. The entry points for heir products in the country will be through the ports in Mumbai and Kolkata. Their products will be backed by warranties of 6 months to 2 years depending on the products life cycle.
Ingram Micro is the global national distributor and CyberPower is in touch with other tier 1 channel partners for national and regional distribution.
CyberPower had made its debut in India in April, this year in the under-10kVA UPS range. It will now target Home and SOHO UPS segment and will gradually expand its coverage to other segments up to 200kVA power solutions.
