D-Link India launched its wireless presentation gateway (DPG-2100), which

allows presenters to wirelessly connect to a projector or monitor. Display

presentations, applications, and images from several notebooks or desktops

without connecting additional wires. DPG-2100 reduces the amount of downtime in

meetings associated with multiple presenters.

The wireless presentation gateway includes both VGA and DVI-D outputs making

it compatible with the majority of projectors and monitors. Based on the 802.11g

wireless standard, the DPG-2100 is compatible with a wide range of wireless

devices including legacy 802.11b wireless devices. This enables presenters to

use their existing 802.11b wireless devices without having to incur additional

costs from upgrading. "It is ideal for conferences/ seminars and can be

used as effectively for a in-house meeting as for a day long conference,"

says Shridhar Kadam, VP - Product Engineering, D-Link India Ltd

The product handles all file formats including files produced by Microsoft

Office applications such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Its inbuilt audio

support, allows a AV experience by connecting speakers to the projector or

monitor. It also allows presenters to access the Internet (connecting DPG-2100

to an existing network via the Ethernet port) and integrate content from the Web

into their presentations.
