D-Link to invest $10 million in Gigabyte

D-Link India would invest around $10 million in the expansion of Gigabyte

India. The latter has announced the launch of its complete range of products

including laptops, LCD monitors, keyboard, mouse, servers, USB flash drives and

thin clients. D-link has already invested around Rs 3 crore in this venture.

D-link India CMD, KR Naik said, "We will now start selling all products

of Gigabyte and if required, we will have another manufacturing facility for

these products. The move is in line with our endeavor to provide Indian

customers the best they can get in IT hardware segment."

The disty has been selling Gigabyte's other products for the last three

years. It would now sell all its products though its existing channel partners.

D-link holds 51% stake in Gigabyte India. The JV was selling Gigabyte's

graphic cards, ODDs and a select range of motherboards in India.





To start selling all products of Gigabyte and if required, will have another manufacturing facility for these products

D-Link India has announced the appointment of Chandrasekhar Kopparapu as

Additional Director. He will also be a member of the Audit Committee of the

Board.

Chandrasekhar has more than 15 years of experience that combines hands-on

technology with sales, marketing, business development and general management of

business units. He has a MBA degree from University of California at Berkeley Ca

and is Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering from BITS, Pilani.
