All one needs to do is connect a standard telephone and a television to the DVC-1000, and plug in a standard ethernet

network cable with leased line/broadband Internet connection for an 'eye-to-eye' meeting.

According to the company, DVC-1000 is targeted at the video telephony and conferencing market.

On the very first two days of its launch at CES, D-Link has got online order booking for 30,000 units of DVC-100, says a

company release. The product costing Rs 29,950 hopes to bring a new dimension to the world of

video telephony or conferencing over leased lines/broadband Internet with DVC-1000 video.

According to D-Link release, the DVC-1000 i2eyeTM Videophone delivers superior quality images and audio by using

advanced video compression technology. This maximizes the image and the audio quality within the

available bandwidth.

The DVC-1000 can send and receive video at up to a full 30 frames per second. It is an ideal solution for geographically spread out business

houses, small businesses and the new-aged nuclear families.
