D-Link’s i2eye Videophone

India has launched DVC-1000 i2eye videophone. This product is targeted at the
video telephony/conferencing market. The videophone is a stand-alone device and
eliminates the need of a computer altogether. DVC-1000 works by connecting a
standard telephone and a television to it and a standard Ethernet cable
connected to the Internet connection. It can send and receive videos at up to a
full 30 frames per second. Among other features are: full-screen view or picture
in picture, audio/video privacy protection with built-in caller ID and remote
control.

The product is priced at Rs 29,950.
