Chennai: Dax Networks has launched DX-1821-IR, an Internet router, optimum for broadband applications. Priced at Rs 17,990, DX-1821-IR is adaptable to a wide range of traffic scenarios and is targeted at community networks, net cafes, and small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).
DX-1821-IR belongs to Dax's portfolio of new-generation Networking Access and Connectivity products, developed to offer specialized and comprehensive Networking Infrastructure Solutions.
DX-1821-IR has 5 built-in 10/100M TX self-adapting Ethernet ports. These ports can be configured in any WAN/ LAN port combination to meet the various needs of Internet broadband access routers, including those of telecom carriers, large and mid-sized enterprises, and broadband communities, using direct Internet as well as VPN tunneling. It supports up to 200 concurrent online users, in a
NAT -enabled environment, without heavy delay or downtime. It also offers powerful data processing and support for many mainstream broadband access technologies. It has a built-in firewall with rich options to frustrate illegal access and virus attacks.
Along with RADIUS authentication, DX-1821-IR supports IPSec and multiple protocols such as L2TP, PPTP. This guarantees a complete network security service, ensuring optimal network performance as well as secured remote access management.
The product comes with a three-year carry-in warranty and online support for customers. Dax plans to market this product through its network of Authorized Dax Solution Providers (ADSPs) and system integrators.
