Debjani Ghosh, the Managing Director for Intel in South Asia has decided to step down at the end of March. Ghosh, who is counted as one of the most influential women leaders in the country, first started with Intel in 1996 and has held numerous leadership roles over her 21-year career.

She was closely associated with the Digital India project and has also led various projects in education and re-skilling in the country.

“She has been extremely passionate and committed to helping the country make progress on its vision of Digital India and she has decided she would like to devote more of her time and energy to this endeavour,” Jerry Tsao, Vice-President - APJ Regional Sales Group, Intel, said.

Intel has named Prakash Mallya as the new Managing Director for South Asia. A 16-year veteran of the company, Mallya joined Intel in 2000 as Business Development Manager in India, responsible for the financial services segment.
