Digi Giga launches SiS chipset motherboard GA-K8S760M

Digi Giga Systems has introduced SiS 760 chipset Gigabyte GA-K8S760M motherboard, an integrated solution supporting the AMD Athlon 64 processor. The SiS 760 chipset is equipped with brand new Mirage 2 Graphics engine and Local Frame Buffer (LFB) design, which make integrated graphics as good as discrete graphic card. The high-speed fast Ethernet interface is equipped for establishing the efficient broadband connection to the Internet, with up to 150MB/s data transfer rate. 

Powered by SiS 760 chipset, this platform supports the brand new 8th generation AMD Athlon 64 processor to deliver a high performance platform with dual support for 32-bit applications and increasing 64-bit computing needs. It also supports HyperTransport technology, which not only provides more bandwidth but also reduces the I/O bottlenecks and, consequently, greatly enhances the system performance. 

The SiS 760 chipset built-in a high performance 256bit 2D/3D graphics engines with a Rendering Engine compliant to Direct3D 8.1 to maximize graphic performance and provide realistic graphic effect. A video accelerator and MPEG1/II motion compensation decoder is also included to provide smooth video output for gaming or movie watching.

This platform also supports bandwidth AGP 8X graphics interface. This platform delivers enhanced graphics performance
with high bandwidth up to 2.12GB/s. it also features Ethernet 10/100Mb LAN network connection, serial ATA with RAID 0.1 function and 3D surround sound through integrated 6-channel audio. 

Norton Internet Security is included which protects user during the online activities such as e-mailing, shopping, banking, and game playing. GA-K8S760M is available in the market at an approximate street price of Rs 6,900 with three-year warranty.
