The emphasis last year for Progressive was to transform into a diversified player offering services across technology. In line with this strategy, Progressive
focused in FY10 on offerings such as datacenter solutions, infrastructure management, and professional services. The horizontal solution offering, which comprises of virtualization, information management, collaboration and network and security solutions contributed to its growth significantly. Progressive has also bagged managed services projects from GAIL, Air India and PNB. The company has a presence pan India with 13 branch and regional offices, as well as presence in MENA and South East Asia with subsidiaries in UAE and Singapore. It operates through more than 1,200 associates throughout pan India.
The key areas that can be attributed to company's significant growth include, its skilled associates and professionals, expertise in ICT industry and consolidation of target groups. The company forged strategic alliances with vendors like Fujitsu and NetApp. Progressive now operates in UAE and Singapore, and has started pitching for large SI and IMS projects in the MENA and ASEAN regions in FY10 only. It plans to make an acquisition in the USA to bolster its IMS play, which will be supported by its NOC in India.
The company has a reach in more than 130 locations across India with over 1,000 employees and operates through ITIL-certified technical team. Progressive has forged strategic relationships with some of the industry's reputed technology leaders that include HP, Microsoft, Fujitsu, Avaya, NetApp, VMware, Juniper, Citrix, RedHat and Symantec. The company also plans to build the brand 'Progressive' across the nation and especially in the West market with expansion in Europe and Africa region.
