6.Value Point Systems :Expansion On The Menu

A year of expansion for Value Point Systems, the company opened five new
branch offices, while also increasing its headcount to almost 1,000 employees

Bangalore-based Value Point Systems concentrated on expanding its presence,
both in India as well as abroad in 2006-07. As part of its geographic expansion
strategy, the company opened offices in the US, Singapore and the Middle East.
Within India, Value Point expanded to Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Trivandrum,
Kochi, Madurai, Vishakapatnam, Trichy, Coimbatore and Pune.

Last fiscal, the company posted a turnover of Rs 158 crore, up from Rs 111
crore, registering a growth of 30 percent. The company also obtained the ISO
9001 certification for sales and services, and acquired Knowledgeworks-a leading
Indian language translation services company. Its 10-year successful
relationship with HP was recognized and the company became HP's top value
partner for APJ this FY 2006-07.

Value Point also received the 'Prince of India' Award from HP for FY 2006-07.
While expanding into newer geographies, the company also grew in its manpower
strength and currently has nearly 1,000 people working within the group. Of the
total revenue of Rs 158 crore, IT/ITeS and SMB verticals seemed to be the major
contributors last fiscal, followed closely by the education sector.

While furthering all its existing relationships, Value Point also forged
relationships with Microsoft Dynamics, new ISVs and tied-up with many security
solution companies last fiscal.

7.Sai InfoSystems (India) :A Golden Year

Ahmedabad-based Sai Infosystems played its cards right and emerged as the
biggest solution provider in the city

2006-07 was a success story of no small proportions for Sai who leapfrogged
  from the 15th spot to the 7th spot. It also earned the distinction of being
the company with the highest growth rate, of 45 percent in this year's Silver
Club for solution providers.

The revenue for Sai Infosystems, which was Rs 87 crore for the previous year
jumped up to Rs 157 crore in 2006-07. So what were the factors that one could
attribute to such a quantum leap in the ranking for Sai Infosystems?

2006-07 saw the opening of two new branches. Also, the number of trained
employees in Sai Infosystems increased to 171. The company bagged five major
awards and certifications during 2006-07. However, the major incentive for
growth came by means of three new projects bagged by Sai Infosystems, viz, MTNL,
E-Urja and CTD. Besides this, some new products like SIS Slim PC and blade
server were also launched in 2006-07.

West obviously contributed highest to the overall revenues of the company,
bringing in 61 percent. North came up next with 35 percent.

According to those at the helm of affairs at Sai Infosystems, such an
exponential rise in growth can also be attributed to its expansion of call
center infrastructure. To extend this purple patch further into the year
2007-08, Sai Infosystems has well-laid plans. Featuring at the top of its
priority list is overseas expansion. At Sai Infosystems, this takes forbearance
among other things on its agenda. Also, strengthening of its managed services is
something that Sai Infosystems is looking forward to achieving in the year
2007-08.

8.Allied Digital Services :Reason To Rejoice

Even though Allied Digital Services fell from #5 to #8 position in this
year's Silver Club, it has serveral reasons to rejoice

Allied Digital Services posted 44 percent growth which is the second highest
all SPs in the Silver Club. Its revenue for 2006—07 was Rs 156 crore, while it
stood at 88 the year before. The company expanded its countrywide coverage from
72 to 92 locations. An additional 422 employees were recruited into the
organization in the technical support, sales, marketing and middle management
area. Last fiscal Allied Digital also opened an office in Sydney, Australia to
tap the business potential there. It won several accolades in 2006-07 including
an award from DQ Channels as 'Most Comprehensive Solution Provider' and 'Best
Systems Integrator' by The DQ Week.

Chief project bagged by Allied Digital was the SAP Infrastructure Solution
deployed by it for 22,000 SAPs using open source operating system. This was
India's first large scale SAP deployment on a Linux platform. Besides this, it
also deployed the asset management and endpoint security solution for over
45,000 users for the ICICI Group. According to Allied Digital, this is the
largest deployment of asset management and endpoint security solution in
Asia-Pacific region using LANDesk Management Suite. Apart from these two
contracts, Allied Digital won the IT infrastructure management and IT
outsourcing contract for five years from Otis Elevators.

The year 2006—07 saw Allied tying up with vendors like Echelon for
intelligent building management system, Epicor for enterprise resource planning
and Verint for IP video surveillance and video analytics solutions for physical
security.

It has also tied-up with e-Cop to set-up e-Cop's security operations center
in India. The future looks bright for Allied Digital with new initiatives like
remote management services, TBPO etc. The company has plans to grow by 100
percent.

Recently Allied went for an IPO in the price band of Rs 170 to Rs 190 per
share. The company plans to use these funds to set up a 35,000 sq ft new
corporate office in Mumbai and expand its warehousing space across the existing
12 locations that it has. Some funds will be utilized in beefing up the internal
infrastructure including deploying ERP and VPN and sprucing up its repair
centers. Allied also plans to set up a 250-seat BPO, a network operation center
(NOC) and a security operation center (SOC) to offer remote network management
and the managed security services.

9.PC Solutions :Aiming For The Sky

PC Solutions added several new customers taking its client list to 70 in
2006-07. The SME vertical contributed 24 percent to its overall turnover

Focusing on the changing needs of customers' helped PC Solutions carve its


way to success. This fiscal the company showed a decent increase in its revenues
registering a turnover of Rs 141 crore, posting a growth of 11 percent over the
previous fiscal. A major share of this revenue came from managed services at Rs
16.34 crore. Planning to concentrate on this service aspect increasingly, PC
Solutions hopes to grow its turnover by 50 percent the next fiscal.

Given that PC Solutions is mainly into services like that of server
consolidation, virtualization, security audits and policy implementation, the
company at present has a tie-up with all major players like HP, IBM, Lenovo,
EMC, Microsoft, VMWare, Citrix, Symantec among others. It is also a premier
partner of Cisco.

This year the company moved one level up in IT infrastructure and focused on
sales and solutions for ITeS, BPO, media, BFSI, services and infrastructure and
manufacturing. 80 percent of PC Solutions' customers are MNCs and the company is
aiming at providing them with best of the enterprise security solutions and
information management solutions to concretize their relationship.

Keeping in mind the exponential growth of the IT industry, the company is
focusing towards expanding its engagement with customers. With 765 employees
already on the payroll, the company plans to further increase its headcount in
the tech support area, alongside project implementation and quality control area
for the next fiscal. This is in view of both the existing projects and the new

10.Vitage Systems :Support Matters

Realizing the potential of domestic IT application management and
infrastructure services, the Vitage Group floated a new entity called Vitage
Technologies last fiscal and established a remote management center

Realizing the potential of domestic IT application management and
infrastructure services, the Vitage Group floated a new entity called Vitage
Technologies in the last fiscal. The new entity added to the revenue stream and
the company clocked total revenueof Rs 120 crore, as compared to 104 in the
previous fiscal.

With continued focus on services, Vitage established a remote management
center and also got it assessed through the ISO 20000-1(ITSM/ITIL). This boosted
the company's confidence and it appears that service will continue to be a prime
focus for this group in the next fiscal as well.

While the IT/ITeS seemed to be the biggest revenue generator, other verticals
like manufacturing, telecom, healthcare, media, hospitality, BFSI and retail
added to the revenue figures.

Providing comprehensive support and infrastructure service to customers
continued to be the key differentiator for the company last fiscal and managed
services added to the customer satisfaction. Increased technical focus, improved
customer relationships and an efficient support team helped Vitage increase its
overall business in the last fiscal.

The company continued to build on its collaborations with IBM, Lenovo, HP,
Cisco, Systimax, Molex, Wildpackets, Nitix, Microsoft, CA and EMC while also
looking at new possible tie-ups. Currently working with almost 500 employees,
the company hopes to double its headcount during the next fiscal in order to
