Dreamteam Technologies, one of the few players in the niche educational
software solutions space, is planning on aggressively tapping into the segment
which holds great potential. The company which is originally based out of
Jodhpur, Rajasthan recently shifted its corporate headquarters to Mumbai to get
closer to the market. With a revenue of around Rs 7 crore, and growing at a YoY
whopping rate of 300 percent, Dreamteam is looking to market itself in a bigger
way this year. "The Dreamteam dream started back in Sep 2005 and for the past
four years, we have been gaining an in-depth understanding of the educational
segment, understanding their pain areas and the way they function. We have
reached a stage where we have already done the necessary groundwork required to
launch out in a bigger fashion," said Sushil Sharma, Director, Dreamteam
Technologies.

Dreamteam has two main business offerings, one is that of website development
with search engine optimization capability, and the other that is of major
focus, educational software solutions packages including education specific ERP
systems etc. Some of the features of the solutions include modules for
automation of the admission process, online homework assignments, which can be
uploaded by teachers and viewed by parents, online exams, mark sheets display,
transportation management and even traffic updates via SMS for parents wanting
to know where their child is either while going to or returning from school in
order to reduce the gap in communication.
Sharma highlighted some of the products USPs, "Our solutions are based on
open source technology and are essentially browser based-applications. We offer
an online server, which is synchronized with the offline servers in the
institute so that those who are using the system from the institute will be
patched in through the offline server while those who are elsewhere will be
logged in through the online server. This helps deliver very good connectivity
speed for users and there is no lag or downtime caused because the load on the
online server is shared by the offline server as well."
The company currently has around four channel partners on roll but plans to
increase this number to around 15-20 by the end of this year.
