“The edge is technology’s next great frontier, and it’s all around us, everywhere from retail to manufacturing, smart cities and hospitals,” said Michael Dell, chairman and chief executive officer, Dell Technologies. “At Dell, we’re innovating simple solutions, so organizations can analyze data closer to where it’s created, make faster decisions, improve outcomes and drive progress.”

“As we move ahead in this new normal, we are witnessing more and more businesses adopting new-age technologies to accelerate their growth and development. This, in turn, is leading to enormous data growth, forcing organisations to analyse their data in real-time, to stay ahead of their competitors. Hence, organisations should look at the deployment of edge solutions which enable them to harness data and derive insights at the source, where data is being generated”, said Srinivas Rao, Senior Director, System Engineering, Dell Technologies India. “We at Dell Technologies, understand our customer's preferences and for the same have introduced these edge innovations across our infrastructure and PC portfolio. Our edge portfolio will help our customers simplify deployments, and derive more value from data being processed outside the traditional datacentre and public cloud”.

These innovations are the latest examples of how Dell is expanding its existing edge portfolio with capabilities to meet unique customer needs. Dell Technologies APEX Cloud Services with VMware Cloud, announced at VMworld, provides a Dell-managed secure and consistent platform for organizations to move workloads across multiple cloud and edge environments and scale resources quickly with predictable pricing and transparent costs. Additionally, new Dell EMC PowerEdge tower and rack servers help organizations manage everything from business-critical workloads to virtualisation at the edge.
