EFI to launch imaging solutions and expand reseller base

Electronics For Imaging Inc (EFI) will launch new software solutions for professional workflow and enterprise markets in the next six months. These products, which will cater to designers, printing press and publishing companies, have been developed with the goal of automating print processes and streamlining workflow. 

With this objective in mind, EFI recently acquired Printcafe, a major player in supply chain solutions, including ERP, shop-floor data collection, web-based order entry and e-procurement solutions. 

The company also has plans to scale-up its reseller base in the country. Atul Saran, Country Head, EFI, states, "We plan to appoint a distributor for the new solutions." He informs that EFI will look for resellers with expertise in digital imaging and print management solutions, for commercial and enterprise printing.

Atul also reveals that the company will increase its Bangalore staff from 75 to 150 in next two months. Presently, the company offers software solutions for mobile printing (PrintMe), prepress workflow (Best), scan-to-email enterprise solutions (EFI SendMe), remote corporate copier/printer management (Intelligent Device Management) and others.
