Electro Cheval targets $4mn in first year

Singapore-based Electro Cheval plans to foray deep into India in 2016, primarily through distribution of networking related products and power solutions. In the next few days, the company would announce strategic tie-ups with a networking vendor as well as a power solution vendor for distribution. “In networking, we would delve into both active and passive lines with products primarily complementing UTM solution. In power, we are targeting the 1KV online to 200KV online range,” informs Biswajit Sutradhar, Director-India Operations, Electro Cheval.

Satpal Singh, Director, Electro Cheval reiterates that with India focus being on networking and power solutions, the company expects to garner 2-3% market share in these categories in a year’s time. That should translate into revenues of $3-4mn in the kitty.

To achieve these revenue targets, Electro Cheval plans to reach out to 25 cities across the country in six months time. The initial aim is to leverage on projects related to smart cities and Wi-Fi campuses. The company aims to appoint business associates in these cities who would be subsequently recruiting local partners. There will be a call-center based support services too, while the marketing and branding will be controlled centrally directly by the company.
