eMall and Astric venture into post-sales service segment in Bihar

Bihar: In a bid to create mass awareness about the progress of Bihar in the national IT scenario and maximize its presence amidst different product verticals under the Customer Delight Program, Astric Computers of Patna has recently signed an MoU with Cradle Technologies of US, which is into manufacturing video surveillance systems.

Promoting their latest offering 'enVigil', Cradle has already set up a unit at Pune headed by Dr Suhas Patil, the pioneer and promoter of Cirrus Logic Inc. In it's approach in the Pune unit, the company is building chips, firmware H.264 MPEG4 encoders, JANUS cards, host Linux Server software and remote JAVA-based Client software.

Speaking on the occasion, PK Sinha, Director, Astric Computers, Patna said, “The need for wireless and network surveillance products is increasing at a constant pace across the country and especially in Bihar, it is urgent considering the networking needs of a vast geographical area and the continuous business activities from the remote parts of the state.”

Through its partnership with Cradle, Astric is aiming to emerge as a leader in the state extending its product coverage and range across all business verticals.

In addition to the Astric-Cradle tie-up, eMall has further entered into an agreement with Accel, a leading IT service provider for extending customer support operations of Seagate across Bihar. The MoU, signed in the presence of Dr Anil Kumar, IT Minister, Bihar, comes into vogue this month as eMall and Astric are together trying to venture into post-sales service segment soon. In this approach, Astric Computers is looking forward to sign more MoUs with major service providers and vendors in the state.

Commenting on the recent tie-up, Rajeev Ranjan, Advisor, eMall, said, “For the time being, we are trying to establish to offer a complete range of solutions under the MBO concept and this deal with Accel has helped us in our efforts to provide a complete range of IT services under a single platform.”

In addition to the comments put forward, Sinha added, “As part of our Customer Delight Programme, we are soon going to venture into a multi-brand IT service center in Patna focussing on bringing technology and quality solutions together.”

Appreciating the move of the dual MoUs, Anil Kumar said, “The sincere efforts made in the channel community to draw the attention of major IT giants has really helped in changing the old mindshare about our state and we can sense the changes now. We have also invited



US-based Ramesh Yadav, COO of an NVSS firm assuring him of all possible support from department of IT to set up a manufacturing plant in Bihar.”

“With an objective to make Bihar a preferred IT destination, the State Government has decided to offer a special package of incentives to attract IT companies in the State. We are trying to publicize the changed scenario and communicate the leading IT giants and Education experts across India and abroad to ensure them proper infrastructure, subsidy, support and safety to select Bihar a preferred destination,” he concluded.
