Embarcadero Technologies expands presence in India

Embarcadero Technologies, provider of cross-platform database tools announced
plans to expand its presence in India by signing a distribution agreement with
Softcell Technologies Limited (Softcell).

A business-to-business IT services company, Softcell will offer the complete
range of Embarcadero's cross-platform database management products, including
ER/Studio, EA/Studio, DBArtisan, Rapid SQL, Change Manager and DSAuditor.
Embarcadero's range of data modeling and data architecture tools enable
businesses to improve productivity and reduce complexity when designing
applications on databases such as Oracle, Sybase, Microsoft SQL Server, DB2 and
MySQL.

In an effort to grow its business by offering more end-to-end solutions,
Softcell sees this distribution agreement as an opportunity to strengthen its
presence in the enterprise and mid-market corporate segment. "We view
Embarcadero's market strength as something that we can build upon, given the
current business environment," said Rahul Ursekar, National Manager of
Inside Sales team at Softcell.

"By distributing Embarcadero's product line, we get to offer our
customers a complete solution from the infrastructure and database. We are

our understanding of the IT needs of our clients."

Recently Embarcadero announced its international expansion plans,
highlighting India as one of the key developing economies it is targeting for
