Kolkata-based Embee Software is keeping a low profile, but is one of the most
promising companies. Having complete control on topline, Embee is now shifting
its focus to strengthening its bottomline further
Having shown a remarkable growth the previous year, the last fiscal for Embee
Software was more of consolidation of its bottom line and carrying off the
legacy it has set with further precision and perfection. With a business of
close to Rs 66 crore last year, the company is gunning for an overall growth of
25 percent on topline and 50 percent on bottomline for the current fiscal.
Having a wide and rich stock of clients that comprise sectors, the firm has
its business operations in various solution related segments. Starting from IT
enabled products and solutions from HP and IBM, volume licensing from Microsoft,
desktop management solution from Intuit (Track-It!), network integration
services and products, facility management services, IT infrastructure
management services to LAN, WAN and wireless network design and implementation,
Embee has it all.

For its proven performances Embee earned some coveted accolades from
principal companies as it was awarded as the Best MS SMSP Partner for West, Best
Technology Partner for Intuit for Track-It! and Best HP Partner for Enterprise
Business Computing.
With a presence in six major locations in India including Kolkata, Mumbai,
Delhi, Jamshedpur, Bhubaneswar, Bangalore as well as an international office in
Singapore, Embee is aiming high to increase its IT skilled staffing solutions by
75 percent next year. The company also bagged some lucrative projects last FY
that included an outsourcing contract from an MNC customer at Singapore for
$1million and an entire IT implementation contract for a Tata company for its
new downstream project worth Rs 3.2 crore.
The company has also done a major implementation of Track-It! (an IT
helpdesk, and asset management solution from a US company) that was implemented
in large companies like Tata AIG, WNS, Moser-Baer, Jindal. Each of these
contracts was implemented across the enterprise with more than 4,000 users.
The company also indulged in some exclusive tie-ups in the last fiscal. It
entered into a strategic partnership with SAP to market SAP B1 for small SME
segment and also became the sole distributor partner for Epson projectors for
entire east India.
The company has an in-house team of 125 employees and 300 externally placed
workers and is ready to boost its FMS and AMC business by 200 percent. It is
also looking to explore the opportunity for other IT solution business and plans
to penetrate into SME segment with SAP B1.
