ENPI has selected these cities based on its strong conviction in the growing awareness levels of businesses about the need to seriously invest in uptime solutions. The locations targeted are fast becoming global hubs in terms of R&D, ITES, BPO, retail and manufacturing. Given the criticality of operations undertaken in these sectors, there is an increasing need for comprehensive network uptime solutions, including enterprise class of UPS.

Says Hitesh Prajapati, Corporate Champion-Uptime Solutions (Channel), ENPI, "While the top four metros still dominate the IT products market, over the last fiscal, spending patterns in the 'next four cities' has dramatically increased recording growth in excess of 60%. In fact, in product categories like servers, the growth shown in the B-and C-class cities has been more than 100% in the first half of 2003-04." He adds that these cities are driving the growth across all IT products, which is why ENPI sees a tremendous scope to induce a better appreciation of uptime criticality.

The company has appointed senior professionals with a mix of channel expertise and solutions handling capabilities as branch managers for each city. These managers, along with its team leaders, will address various verticals such as IT, telecom, manufacturing and process industries.
