Emerson Network Power (India) announced its plan to strengthen the company's
focus on the telecom sector with the appointment of Ravi Badwal as VP-Telecom
Business. In his role, Badwal will be responsible in driving the growth of the
telecom vertical within Emerson by leveraging the business potential in the
sector. Prior to Emerson, Badwal was part of the Board of Directors at Supreme
Telecommunications where he headed the overall business operations and helped
the company develop a pan-Indian footprint. During his tenure, Supreme
Telecommunications emerged as a market leader in the telecom engineering and
infrastructure space.
The telecom vertical currently contributes a significant amount to Emerson's
overall revenues and the company expects this to grow further in
future.Commenting on Badwal's appointment, Sandeep Nair, MD, Emerson Network
Power (India), said, “As part of its solution approach, Emerson has always
focused on the telecom vertical. Over the years, we have developed a very clear
understanding of the infrastructure issues impacting the industry. These
critical issues need to be resolved to ensure that all bottlenecks affecting
industry growth are taken care of. At Emerson, we have a wide range of products
and solutions that can cater to the operational and infrastructure requirements
of all telecom service providers. Our aim is to establish Emerson as a single
reliable source for vital infrastructure solutions. We believe that Ravi's
experience and expertise in the telecom will help us meet this goal.”
