Emerson Network Power to unveil rack solutions

Emerson Network Power (India) announced its plans to launch rack and enclosures solutions for the Indian market. The launch comes close on the heels of Emerson's acquisition of Knurr AG of Munich, Germany. With this acquisition, Emerson becomes the only player in India to offer cooling solutions at the room, rack or chip level. These solutions will be available in the Indian market starting March 2006.






Knurr's broad platform of rack systems will integrate with Emerson's cooling and power management technologies. It will help customers solve problems in new and existing installations and giving data center managers more flexibility in facility design. The market size for IT racks solutions in India is currently estimated at Rs 200 crore.





Commenting on the launch, Sandeep Nair, MD, Emerson Network Power (India) said, “With the launch of rack-cooling solutions as part of its portfolio, Emerson now delivers the broadest portfolio of technologies, taking proven cooling technologies from room-level applications and integrating them into the rack. We strongly believe that these solutions, which will be targeted particularly at datacenters and telecom sites will help us further extend our reach in the enterprise segment."
