Arvind Singh of Maxnet believe that potential, maturity and knowledge are his wealth
Maxnet Computers was founded in 1997 with a vision to become key sales and service provider in IT infrastructure, embedded technologies, telecom and mobile sectors. Arvind Singh, managing director of the firm whose key responsibilities are administration, ideation, business growth, forming alliances with principals and vendors and new business acquisition and expansion.
Inception
Singh has completed Digital Electronics from BIT, Maharashtra Board and later MBA Finance from SM University. Adding to this, Singh said, "Being an engineer I always had a keen interest in R& D. Begun my career in R&D and continued to work for 8 years till I decided to listen to my inner calling to be an entrepreneur."
Describing himself, Singh states, "I am an extrovert, knowledge hungry, enthusiastic, passionate about my work, go-getter person who enjoys interacting with people. Love to help people in whatever way I can. Apart from business I am also a proud member and actively involved as VP- Communications for "ASIRT" a dedicated Association for System builders, System Integrators and Retailers in IT Technology."
Idea to reality
Singh said, "I always had an independent streak and so entrepreneurship came easily to me. Having service oriented stint coupled with the knowhow of the industry made it easy for me to start my own company through which I could provide my clients with end to end Solutions in IT infrastructure, Embedded Technologies, Telecom and Mobile sectors under one single roof."
Satisfied Customer is my biggest motivation says Singh. Maxnet Computers was started from scratch and over the years has built a commendable list of clientele. He would be a few of the system integrators who had not poached any of his ex-company clients. Singh said, "I have always grown from my problems and challenges; from the things that don't work out, that's when I've really learned. I would attribute good ethical business practices coupled with providing quality products and timely and effective services for the Success in my career spanning 23 years."
Singh had started his career with Robonik India in 1990 as CSE and later in its R&D Department. In those days, Robonik was pioneer in making Industrial Computers for CNC and PLC machine using CPM language. Singh said, "Learnt a lot in my tenure of two and a half year with them, handling projects from designing to implementation of few very innovative and high profile products for Siemens and HAL." Post his stint at Robonik, he then worked for Savex Computers for 5 Years as CSE graduating to R&D Engineer with specialisation in Novell, Windows NT and UNIX.
Growth Engine
The biggest challenge in this ever changing and dynamic industry is to always fight the monster of technology getting obsolete said Singh. He further added, "Constantly growing and adapting ourselves to meet the market demands have been a critical factor in our success." The conscious business policy, the company have adhered to the quality products and higher services standards backed by ethical business practices have been a key differentiator.
Singh said, "I am a firm believer of this quote "So long as there is breath in me, that long I will persist. For now I know one of the greatest principles on success; if I persist long enough I will win."
The key to survival in the current business scenario is to keep one self-upgraded all the times with the new technology. Singh says, "We are geared to cater to the new challenges thrown to us. We look for new opportunities for business expansion both in the current portfolio as well as anything which is in synergy with our existing product lines."
Pillars of Strength
Commenting on inspiration model, Singh said, "I have been inspired by different people for different things throughout my career. I always admired my ex-boss Subhash Punja for his perseverance, My friend and mentor Pankaj Shah of TechnoPlus Sytems for his sound moral judgment and Chetan Shah of Xpress Computers for his dedication towards his work." At the personal front, Singh states that his family support has been my continuous source of motivation.
Singh is an individual who believe in taking initiative and leading by demonstration and this has been his leadership mantra enforced all throughout his career.
Something Personal
Spending quality time with the family is the biggest stress buster for founder of Maxnet. Apart from this, he is an avid photographer and captures nature especially birds through his lenses. Singh added, "I and my son share the passion for photography which we indulge in by taking a small weekend trips to nearby places. This helps in good bonding between me and him. Also, I am an avid bird watcher along with a passion of photographing them. I have a Facebook page dedicated to bird photography on my profile."
Singh is also a poet and loves to write poems and shayaris in hindi.
Piece of Advice
For all the emerging and aspiring entrepreneurs, Singh said, "Personal ethics and professional ethics play a big role in a successful career and so do hard work and perseverance. Wealth is not the physical cash. Money is just a by-product of wealth. Wealth is intangible. My purpose, my potentials, my mentality, and my knowledge are my wealth. And this is what gets transformed into their monetary equivalent."
Going ahead, Arvind Singh plans to make a pan India company with its presence in most of the class A & B cities. The company will be focusing on providing end-to-end solutions in IT infrastructure, Embedded Technologies, Telecom and Mobile sectors.
