Epson announced the launch of the Epson Stylus T11 inkjet printer. Targeted
at entry-level users such as students and first-time buyers, the printer blends
low price points for both printer and ink cartridges with high quality prints as
main attractions.
The Epson Stylus T11 comes with a host of features. The Micro Piezo print
head is the pulse of the printer. Using the same technologies found on high-end
Epson printers, the print head produces print resolutions at up to 5,760 dots
per inch for incredible sharpness. As an engine, the Micro Piezo prints at 22
pages per minute, and is also capable of printing 4R photos in under a minute.
To help keep costs low, the Stylus T11 uses a four-color individual ink
cartridge system-a feature seldom found in entry-level printers. This system
translates to better-cost savings since only depleted ink cartridges need to be
replaced, as opposed to a combined ink cartridge system which has to be changed
as soon as one color runs dry. Furthermore each cartridge costs just Rs 250
ensuring great print quality at an extremely reasonable cost.
The new printer uses Epson DURABrite Ultra Inks, which are known for their
outstanding water, smudge and fade resistant qualities. DURABrite Ultra Inks
help guard prints against liquid spills, ensures text stays fast even against
highlighter marks, and prevents colours from fading prematurely.
Epson has included a software bundle to help users achieve photo perfection.
The Epson Easy Photo Print is a straightforward three step guide to photo
printing. Users only have to select the photos, choose the preferred photo size
and paper, and hit print to begin.
The printer is available from July 2008 and is priced at an MRP of Rs 2,199.
Each ink cartridge is priced at Rs 250.
