Epson unveils Epson Stylus Photo R290

Epson announced the launch of the Stylus Photo R290 single function inkjet
photo printer. The new printer comes in a more compact size and sports a clean
finish with no protruding parts. With high print speeds and vibrant colour
reproduction as key features, the photo printer suits the high-specification
requirements of home photo enthusiasts.

The Stylus Photo R290 is rated at 37 ppm (pages per minute) for A4-sized
black text document and 38 ppm for colour documents. As post-photography
touch-up becomes more pervasive, users can get draft 4R photos printed in just
12 seconds.

The advanced Epson Claria photographic inks promise to deliver colour
accuracy, brilliance and glossiness. The Epson Stylus Photo R290 employs a six
INKdividual cartridge system and the inks are formulated to guard against fading
for up to 200 years (in dark album storage conditions). Beneath the lid of the
Epson Stylus Photo R290, the Micro Piezo print head and advanced variable sized
droplet technology (VSDT) operate in harmony to deliver fast print speed and
superb printouts.

With the bundled Epson PhotoEnhance software, automatic corrections are
applied to common photography flaws such as poor colour balance and contrast.
This helps boost face definition and skin radiance in photos. The Epson Stylus
Photo R290 is priced at Rs.11500 (MRP).
