Under the agreement, ESS will look after all aspects of their computing needs from technical support to design and project management of a total

system upgrade. The contracts would be executed over a five-year period.

With a flexible approach to facilities management, ESS would provide a tailored solution to meet the specific needs of the companies. The

management of backup procedures, IT equipment maintenance, operating system upgrades and all other day-to-day requirements would also be taken care of

by ESS, thus moving up the value chain and becoming a part of their long term business strategies.

According to ESS, outsourcing IT by SMEs is a step towards speedier decisions, faster processes and availability of high level technical

specialist support, and above all, toward redirecting focus on their core competency rather than worrying about their IT function.

"The SME market for Facilities Management still remains untapped. The dynamics of the service business would be redefined with SMEs moving from

automation and computerization to IT outsourcing," said ESS Ltd director Sanjay
