New Delhi: Eastern Software System (ESS), announced the launch of a new reporting-cum-business intelligence (BI) tool for users of ebizframe . Extremely easy to use, it is expected to revolutionize the reporting mechanism from ERPs. The tool uses 'MS-Excel' as the front end. This gives the user flexibility to derive useful analytics based on one's own information needs, formats and standards. It just needs 10 minutes of training for an average MS Excel user to be able to start creating his/her own analytics. The tool is called XLenz as it signifies that it provides senior management 'Excel-based Lens'. These assist in analyzing business figures better and are endowed with necessary drill downs. This enables to achieve 'excellence' in business.

To make it easier, ESS has built in a repository of data and graph-based analytics in Xlenz. This enables the user to start using the system immediately. Senior and middle management employees will probably find it very convenient to use these pre-existing templates. Mostly the current ERPs make the user dependent on the implementation partner or the technical team to create analytics. This adds to the company's spendings on logistics and analytics. Moreover, this impedes desired usage of an ERP and promotes forced usage of ERP. This in turn deteriorates in time, resulting in a complete waste of ERP investments.

Anil Bakht, Chairman and MD, ESS, "We have always been proactive when it comes to identifying customer requirements and developing fitting solutions such that our customers derive maximum benefits from their investments in our products. Customers, through the use of XLenz, can get an overview based on the current data which is important especially in today's rapidly changing and highly competitive business environment."
