Incorporated in 2000, the $2 billion eSys Technologies has wholly owned subsidiaries in 31 countries across Asia, Europe, Middle East, North America and Latin America, and employs nearly 800 people worldwide. Vikas started this company after landing in Singapore from India in 1996 as a 26-year-old, working as a sales coordinator for a computer reseller. Shortly he changed his job as he got a better opportunity in the form of a sales job with American Components, a computer parts distributor where he handled the distribution of Seagate hard drives.

This is where he came into the radar of headhunters and other companies in IT distribution ending up with a job in Fujitsu Computers and later with Karma Distribution. When recession hit in late 1990's, Karma's parent company collapsed and Vikas decided to do a management buyout. He then founded eSys in 2000. He was also awarded the Indian Entrepreneur Award for 2004 in Singapore.
