Ali Sait, CEO, Tech Avant-Garde (TAG) is working in EduTech segment to bring education to all in all fields of learning. Here he talks to us about his work.
What is the focus of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam? Why is TAG doing this?
Ali Sait - Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam Summit 2022 is curated to make education segment and academia understand that we are entering into the Knowledge Age, and education practices of the Industrial Age has to give way to the education system of the Knowledge Age. India being the youngest and the largest country in the world can become the super power of the knowledge age provided we adopt the education practices of the Knowledge Age. In the Industrial Age learning infrastructure was of brick and mortar. In the knowledge Age the learning infrastructure is going to be digital. Tech Avant-Garde (TAG) has always advocated ‘Future Ready’ learning and Digital Transformation in education. The theme of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam Education Summit 2022 is NEP 2020 and Hybrid Learning, by implementing both these concepts education could be reimagined, this is the reason why TAG has launched Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam education summit 2022.
What is the hybrid or connected learning landscape in India and across the world?
Ali Sait - Hybrid Learning is new format of education for the Knowledge Age. Education can be face to face or Virtual, Synchronous or Asynchronous. In Hybrid Learning technology plays an important role where a student can choose to come to a classroom or join the class Virtually and can learning from anywhere on any device. Student will be provided with content that can be used in flip classroom or in adaptive and personalized learning for Asynchronous format. The students can attend any class not restricted by geographical distances. The pedagogy of Hybrid Learning will be completely different from traditional learning.
Hybrid Learning is just taking roots in the global and Indian landscape, pre COVID it was blended learning which is quite different from Hybrid Learning. Hybrid is the future of learning where students will have the ultimate flexibility. This is the only format which lends to the Connected Learning Community.
How many schools or educators have started taking this programme?
Ali Sait - Today we are in touch with nearly one lakh education institutions across India viz., twenty five thousand from CBSE, Two Thousand from ICSE, Sixty Thousand from budget schools and Ten Thousand Collages.
We have trained close to one Lakh fifty thousand teachers on digital skills and five thousand teachers on Hybrid Learning by April 2022. We hope to train twenty five lakh teachers on Hybrid Learning.
What are the skill development programmes in the fields of Arts and Cultures and in Science and Technology?
Ali Sait - The skill development programs in the above fields are STEM & STEAM learning, AI and Machine Learning, Robotics & Coding.

Describe a little about the structure and history of this organisation
Ali Sait - Tech Avant-Garde was established in 2013. Tech Avant-Garde (TAG) is the largest Solution Provider in the education segment, with clients ranging from the K-12 schools to the Universities, across all boards and associations. TAG is a Co-sell partner as well as an ISV of Microsoft. TAG is a part of the Accelerator program of Microsoft. TAG has been certified as a Global Trainer for Microsoft in Education and won award for the Best Worldwide Training Partner of Microsoft Asia region.
